    It is a fact that the hype with lap times etc. promoted by the  media incl. video reviews now, influences many decisions.

    The laptime advantage of PDK is exaggerated.  If someone is a good driver and the car has 30kg less weight with manual, the laptime difference is very small.  PDK only helps laptimes with faster upshifts (downshifts are done during braking and take less time than time to slow) - there is only a big difference here with turbocharged cars (no loss of boost while shifting).

    quality is bad but at least you can see the shape of the single frame on the GT3 car testing at Monza.

    The side air intakes don't seem to be a side blade like on the current R8 and it looks like the gas cap is between the two parts, at least on the GT car.

    And this is a diffusor! angel Air outtakes look interesting all over the car as well.

    2015 Audi R8 V10 testing on the Nürburgring...

    "On the 13th and 20th of May 2014 we spied several prototypes of the new Audi R8 V10 on the Nürburgring. They have been showing up on the Nürburgring for quite some time now, but in different camouflage settings. Surprisingly, as you can hear in this video, sometimes al you hear is the turbo, and sometimes you don't hear the turbo at all..."

    I would think they are going to put the 4.0V8TT in the lower range R8.  till the camo is off the shell.... can't say I like the car....  if there are not too much changes on the body, then they better give some significant figures and tech. to sell this car in a very competative zone....

    The 4.0 V8 TT can easily be reliably tuned to outperform, in horsepower and in torque, the V10 found in the Lamborghini.  If there is a twin turbo motor in the entry level R8, it will be a V6.

    This is apparently pretty close, according to an R8 tech who saw a render at an Audi event. 2016 car, will have an engine choice of a V10 at 600hp.

    He said it's about right, with the sideblade now being two separte parts divided by a portion of the body, as seen in this render.

    Also said they are still considering a 500hp 2 door car similar to the quattro concept.

    Close, but some details are wrong. 

    Also, it will have around 560ps-570ps max.

    I think V8TT would be a better choice for this car for many reasons - it would have different flavor than Hurracan, would be easy to tune for entry and high performance version and more future proof since every new car seems to be turbo only (not that I prefer turbos, just saying that would be a logical choice for Audi)

    Good idea and may happen eventually (after Lambo goes Turbo), but biggest problem is that it would be faster than V10 Huracan for less money (especially where I live at altitude).

    I like the fact that there are still some NA engines left with many cylinders, so I'm in no hurry for them to abandon the V10.
