HEADLINE: 997 Turbo Performance has already been upstaged by

...the SPACE SHUTTLE. Nick, this is one of the most ridiculous posts you ever made, honestly. Why would someone compare a tuned version of a car to the stock version?
It doesn't make sense to me at all, especially since most of Gemballa's extreme power toys aren't even streetlegal in Germany, giving you a pretty good hint about those models.
These are cars to impress people (like you for example... ) by using extreme power figures and impressive specs and performance figures.

And if you REALLY want to be impressed, you better pay SPORTEC a visit, they have a 800+ HP 997 Turbo (based on the 997 body and the "old" 996 Turbo engine) available which puts the Gemballa version to shame.

Because it is a better looking Porsche which will outperform the factory model.

If I was in the market for a Porsche and looking for performance why wouuldn't I consider this as a viable option? Of course it would have to be street legal and priced right.

Because Gemballa cars tend to catch fire quite easily. I know, not quite as bad as leaking glue out of the vents and all over the leather upholstery on a brand new $200.000 Ferrari, but worth mentioning nonetheless.

Now I understand Nick's philosophy and why he can't appreciate certain cars. He only likes them seriously flawed and/or deathtraps with no sidebags and prone to catching fire. I guess Porsche never had a chance with Nick
