German Auto Zeitung tests Panamera 4S PDK vs. BMW/Mercedes

Here are the test results:

Panamera 4S

0-100 kph in 4.6 sec. (PDK launch control)

0-200 kph in 17.1 sec.

Slalom 18m: 64,8 kph

BMW 750i xDrive

0-100 kph in 5.4 sec.

0-200 kph in 17.7 sec.

Slalom 18m: 61,8 kph

Mercedes E500 4matic

0-100 kph in 5.3 sec.

0-200 kph in 19.3 sec.

Slalom 18m: 61,5 kph

The Panamera 4S actually wins this comparison in all categories, especially driving dynamics. Car was equipped with PDCC, according to Auto Zeitung one reason why the Panamera performed that well. So PDCC is a MUST.

The Panamera is the best sports sedan by a very long margin. That is why building a future one on the current A8 platform would be several steps backward... unless of course Piech 'evolves' the current A8 platform making it a good Panamera copy. :)

As a little side note: the X5 M does the 18 m slalom at 64 kph. Couldn't resist...

Btw: the Audi A8 platform has more possibilities, don't worry, it isn't bad at all. The "finetuning" would be still done by Weissach.

If the A8 becomes a better platform than the Panamera's more power to them.
