    LP640 Roadster, Coupé, Porsche 997 turbo cab or Ru

    What to do?

    Current situation: we have 3 cars atm, 1 of them is being used by my girlfriend the other 2 are only used by me.

    Girlfriend's car:



    My summer car:



    My 'bad weather' car:





    These are the cars I'm considering:
    Lamborghini LP640 Coupé


    Lamborghini LP640 Roadster


    Upgrade Porsche 997 turbo to RUF turbo R

    but it will feature the upcoming GT2 nose in stead of the Ruf nose:

    A few details:
    - I live in Belgium which basically means we only have around 30-60 days max of truly excellent weather. So top of the

    Murci Roadster is THE reason why I'm setting up this poll. Otherwise it would have been a done deal already (Gallardo

    Spyder out, Murci LP940 Roadster in).
    - The Porsche 997 turbo has a small advantage on the Murcielago Coupé: I can still put a child on the backseat there.
    - I approx. know how the upcoming Ruf 997 turbo R will perform ... this car will be crazy when it comes down to

    acceleration and torque (think Rt12 or better). I'm 1st on the list for this upgrade.
    - The truck will stay because we will need it (little one on the way). But I'm struggling what to do with the other

    two.

    I voted sell the spyder and get a murci lp640 spyder.

    Rami, IMHO, you do need a car you can use every day. So keep the 997 turbo, and keep it stock. The ruf is going to be less fiendly , will attract much more attention and won't give you the satisfaction of having a new car.

    The lp640 s a toy, not a daily. So to replace your summer car (as you put it) by the lp640 makes sense.

    If you still feel like selling the turbo, you can still buy the 997 convertible in a couple of months or upgrade it with the ruf kit.


    I remember that you had a tuned boxster not so long ago. Business must be pretty good or you've won the lottery or something ...

    whatever you choose it will be fantastic.

    But I think you have a taste of the verve, of the pinach, of the stylstics...I say this because I adore your Gallardo Spyder combo (perhaps the most beautiful I've ever seen) and I love your tags (LAM666 & RAM101 )

    I think you'll find the LP Roadster is your next beast

    if you can afford( it with ease) the lp640 then you must get it.

    Why do you have to buy your GF a cayenne turbo? minicooper s is better? more cute

    therefore sell the cayenne and get the lp640. you need the drop top for your spiritual side. the turbo is the best fast everyday car.

    or why dont you just pay some more $ and trade the gallardo coupe for an new lp640 roadster.

    I would choose a Ruf or better an LP640 eater called Ruf CTR3,700hp and 6speed real sequential gearbox.
    You said 997 GT2: F430 LP (or scuderia name) will be very very fast.I have info about ring time and acceleration time.You will not believe these datas how good are....

    Rami,

    IMHO you should have:

    1) a general use car for the g'friend which you can both use for groceries, suitcases, kid's pushchairs etc etc (I think a Cayenne would be great for that)

    2) a good weather car which I think should be as much fun as possible i.e. loud exhaust, open roof but which is fully electric and practical, some real performance (honestly, IMO your Gallardo Spyder is perfect for that but if you want more performance then LP640 Roadster)

    3) a bad weather car (preferably a coupe, good all weather performance and handling - 997TT coupe is ideal - but it seems you are yearning for even more performance so perhaps the RUF upgrade to your TT is a perfect solution.

    So, in sum, in your situation, I would have:

    CTT
    RUF 997 Turbo
    Gallardo Spyder (LP640 Roadster is the Gallardo Spyder isn't enough)

    All I can say is that you are in a great situation in life to be able to make such delicious choices in life! Enjoy!!

    I would definitely go for the RUF. It will be the most usable supercar and you will actually get to drive it more often than if you got the LP640 or the LP640 roadster.
    Essentially, I'd choose the car that I can enjoy the most and have the most use out of with the benefits of being able to take your little addition with you. Get your car painted lime-green like the RUF RT12 that's running around. I had a rental car in Arizona that was lime-green (a Dodge Hemi Charger) and you would not believe the attention that car go, just because of the color.
    Go for the RUF! You won't be sorry.

    I'm leaning more and more towards the Ruf upgrade. There is a black Mruci LP640 Roadster at the dealer and I already saw the car with the top on (BWAAARRFFF!!!).
    I'll go back in a day or two, they will have removed the top by then. Perhaps I will change my mind when I see it standing there tits out

    I like your Gallardo a lot, but while you're still young, it seems like the right time to do crazy stuff like buying the most bad-ass Lambo there is.

    I wouldn't leave the LP640 in order to get the Ruf Turbo R as you've got an absolutely amazing turbo right now, and with some carefully chosen upgrades, probaply not that much slower than the Ruf..

    997 cab is not my kind of car so I'm ignoring that option

    Anyways, good luck with it, whatever you choose, it'd be hard to see any of your beauties go!

    ANd last but not least, congratulations on the Mr. Rami Jr!!!!

    I think I misinterpretated "upgrade 997 Turbo to Turbo R", you didn't mean to sell your 997 in order to get a full-Ruf?

    Hard to believe, I'm still trembling on my feet after experiencing that tremendous acceleration

    Couple of days ago someone took my for a ride in his 430 Spider, although it's obviously, very fast, a 997 Turbo seemed to be in a different league (might be due to your driving style )

    so, since you decided to let us choose which option you are going to do, you better call RUF to make an appointment ;)

    Yesterday a LP640 past us on the freeway (brussels-antwerp) and it's such a nice car, with such a great sound, unbelievable, but (IMHO) it's to pimpy, you can't show up
    NOWHERE without being noticed.. It's more like a car when you live in monaco or south of France, it doensn't fit the picture here in Belgium. RUF does..

    i tink the LP640 roadster is not a good car for Belgium becouse of the weather ...
    the Gallardo roadster is more practical no ?

    LOL ... I have the exact same experience with my Spyder Mike ... I know it's loud but when you hear it on video ...
    Your LP640 still going strong btw? How many miles/km do you have already?

    Commendatore: thx but not thx, I'm not a Ferrari guy I'm afraid. Don't get me wrong, I think they are truly amazing cars but the design just doesn't do it for me

    Dhayek: If the LP640 had a bit more storage compartment then I would perhaps go for that option. I just want to avoid the fact that I'd always have to take the truck when we go on a small trip

    Amazon: I know man ... but when that tops comes off ... it simply transfers in the most breathtaking, impressive and sexy car of this decade. And when its sidewings open up for extra air ... pure sex on wheels, can't describe it in any other way!
