    My 997.2 TT Cab Finally Arrived!

    Finally took delivery of my 997.2TT Cab (Atlas Grey/ Black+Carrera Red) couple weeks ago Smiley 

    Weather has been pretty miserable... I will post some pics as soon as the weather clears up a bit...  Meanwhile, I have attached some pics that the dealer took for me before I took delivery...

    The only thing that I would like to change on my car right now are the wheels... Something light... Like the new BBS Fi.  However, they come in some very "odd" sizes/ offsets:

    For the Front wheels:
    8.75x19 ET50.  The Stock wheels are 8.5x19 ET56.  Will the 6mm less in offset cause any problem?

    For the Rear Wheels:
    12x19 ET50.  I would like to keep the stock rear tires which are 305/30 R19.  While the ideal wheel width for 305/30 tires are 10.5" to 11.5", I know that stock GT3s have 305/30 tires on 12x19 rear wheels... Will I be able to keep my stock tires on a 12x19 wheel or will they be "too stretched"?  My other alternative is to get the 11.25x19 ET55 version of the BBS Fi.  While these are supposedly "designed" for narrow body 997, I suppose I can "convert" them for a wide body 997 by simply adding a 5mm spacer?

    That´s a very nice combination, congratulations on your new car! For the first time, I appreciate the clear-lens taillights, even if I would personally skip that option. It does look good on the Atlas Grey convertible though.

    Regarding the rim sizes I would suggest to contact BBS directly, either in your country or the headquarters. I have seen 997s equipped with this rim so there seems to be a solution for that.

    unfortunately, it seems tht porsche is still not getting the stitching right. looks like the steering wheel has black stitching....

    i m also asking myself how it would look if the seats had contrasting black stitching. could work out very slick or totally off

     Amazing looking car, great combo. I had never seen a good pic of the clear lense tail lights but they look spectacular.

    About the rear wheels,i have on mine GT2 wheels 12x19 with standard tyres 305 and no problems at all.So i think you can change the rims,but IMHO the stock ones you have on now,looks great!!!Smiley

    Intouch1, I am totally with you on the steering wheel stitching.  Unfortunately, up until the point when I ordered my car, only the "thicker sport steering wheel" option allowed a deviating stitching... I, therefore, decided to go with the paddle shifters as supposed to the "thicker sport steering wheel" (which I'm not even sure if you can order with pdk)...  Don't even get me started on how Porsche is not getting the stitching right.  It was absolutely torturous in ordering all the various options on my car (deviating stitching and leather deviating color)...

    In terms of getting contrasting black stitching on the seats... I've seen a AM V8 with that (i.e. red interior and black stitching)... to me, it looked a bit weird... like ants crawling all over the seats... and thus decided to skip it.  Light grey stitching might have worked well though...Smiley

    Lovely car and many congratulation! The stock rims are fantastic and I wouldn't have changed them if I were you... One other note though, I thought the dynamic cornering lights with the extra projector lens was standard equipment on the turbo

    Hi Lukas, thanks.  The dynamic cornering lights are not standard equipment on the turbo.  It's only "standard" on the Turbo S.
