Aw sht! It didn't sink in that jpcourt bought one. I'm very very sorry for the near-ahole-oriented comment!
Also, my point was to overstate to illustrate.
But basically, GM tries to be all things to all people and their styling suffers. Like they start with a good design, use a bar of soap for the model and use that soap to wash their hands: voila the "please everybody" looks. Vette has waaay too much going on; they should get rid of about half of their vette cues from the past.
But so what? Most people love the Corvette no matter how screw-ily they keep all those confusing complex-ifying stying cues year after year.
Just to add interest to this explanation/apology: Compare to the kick-ass, in yourface, love-it or hate it Italians. I looooove this car, THE masterpiece of the "origami" idiom:
Again, I apologize for _sounding_ like an a------, when I should have been congratulating jpcourt, the new owner of a technically fine, generously-priced perf. car.
