The 6 mile dirt road to the jump off got plowed one lane - like driving through a snow desert and just as deadly - drive with care. We have -35F windchill coming tonight, two heat lamps for the chickens.
We lucked out in that 2 snow machines went in and packed the deep so it was passable on Nordic BC skis. Fresh Lion kill the Labs had to blast a tunnel to through 4' of snow. Fresh Elk means a Happy New Year for the Crewe,

is it allowed to put back the Summer tyres in such conditions?
I am thinking of the possibility for a drive in the Lamborghini on proper tyres.

Reginos-
thats 57F, you can safely run summers down to 45F… short periods at 40F.
I put winters on at November 1st , for the Rockies when mid days begin to be below 40, snow.,,occasionally
In Malibu I never switched from summer tyres even though there were weeks in low 40’s, you knew it would end. Numerous Gt2.1 and 2s crashed on wet spots on days like this.

Thank you.
In some countries in Europe, in the "cold zone" like D, CH, A and maybe others there is a regulation for winter tyres from November to February, I think. You get fined if don't have them fitted. So, I was wondering if you can change back to summer tyres on warmer days without any regulatory consequences.
Where I live, winter temperatures range from 40 F to 65F. At night and in the early morning when temps are at the lower end, high performance tyres like those used by Porsche non-GT models for example (P Zero, PIlot Sport etc.) are difficult to heat up quickly and they tend to be very hard with little feel and it could get dangerous if caught unaware especially on wet surfaces. Semi-slicks like the Pilot Cup are even worse.

No and I have winter tires on all my cars, including the Lambo. Cars are for driving, not pampering.

...15°C today
I officially hate you today.
-1°C today (around -5°C at night), it started snowing a little bit and we already had a mass accident (over 10 cars involved) on a bridge here. Thank god I didn't drive half an hour earlier to work, I may have ended up there. It was slippery in a few seconds, very nasty phenomenon because the roads were very cold from the night and the snow stuck to the roads like glue, making them very slippery.

I think that is the worst pay of the snow and coke weather, the added dangers and limitations on road communications. Drive safe.
