I would say in this economy 5 year 100k warranty that Ford and GM offer make more sense than Toyota's 36k warranty.
If for all brands I'm offered 0% 60 months but Ford and GM give me 5 year and 100k I'll go with Ford or GM.

Didn't realize that GM and Ford US had followed Korean manufacturers down the path to longer warranties.

BTW, is that worldwide? And how is VW stacking up as a company?
I'd guess that Subaru and Audi's good 2009 Q1 figures are a result of new product introductions resulting in better product ranges being offered than in 2008 Q1.
Probably based on government statistics, so USA market only?
