    My little baby (better pics)

So finally got around to taking some more pics, this time not blurry crap ones!

Anyway, just thought I'd share them with you before I spend the rest of the day driving its little wheels off!! Day of work, sun is shining!!!

So here she is two tone, basalt black for the top and the rest is a kind of muddy brown!! Nice!!

Perhaps a bath is in order before the ride!!!!

Re: My little baby (better pics)

    Oooh u dirty little whore!!!!!

Re: My little baby (better pics)

Cool! Have a great day. You've got the same plate as RichC... I'd go have words if I were you.

Re: My little baby (better pics)

Nice - looks about the same colour as mine at the moment - 'Salt Grey', did you get that paint to sample?

How long will it be before you curb those alloys though - I'd be putting some foam padding on that curb..

Re: My little baby (better pics)

I think I will be parking a lot further away from the curb than that!
Looks very nice, glad to see you are using it, despite the weather.

Hey Rich J & C, question for the both of ya...

the UK builds, how is the handbrake (parking brake) located? does PAG has RHD hand brakes? or even tho the car is RHD the hand brakes would still be LHD? (US / German....)

Re: Hey Rich J & C, question for the both of ya...

It's on the left side of the centre consol - if that makes sense. Where is it on LHD cars?

Re: Hey Rich J & C, question for the both of ya...

LHD are also on the left side of the center console.

Re: Hey Rich J & C, question for the both of ya...

So ive returned from my adventures and had a great day playing around in the car. Found some nice A+B roads on the way down to the coast, even got the roof down a couple of times as the weather was pretty good.

    Noticed a couple of things....

First, the gear box is pretty stiff. 4th gear especially is a bit of a pain, so far Ive crunched the gears 4 times when knocking it into 4th.... Doesnt always get home properly, well if I dont ram it in that is. Also reverse gear is v v stiff, and takes quite a bit of effort to push accross. Hopefully it will losen up a little.

Seats are very very comfy even for a 6'4' freak like me... After 6 hours of drving I still feel fine and could have carried on. Heated seats are fantastic and are really good for relaxing you back on long trips

At first I thought the Bose was crap.. but after getting a few of my CDs going and cranked it up a bit have found it to be pretty sweet.. Should really have come with a DAB radio though as the analague sound quality, whilst not bad isnt great.

Ride quality on 19's with no PASM is fine.. only seriouslly bad roads cause a problem... Standing water and rough dips do unsettle the car somewhat, tugging the wheel left and right... My GF didnt like this at all when she drove the car, for me it was not too bad. Wonder if PASM would have helped this???

All in all great car, really happy and am looking forward to tomorrow as I'm off work again and will spend my time playing with my toy!!!!!!!

Anyway just a bit more car porn! This time nice and clean!

Re: Hey Rich J & C, question for the both of ya...

And the last one, before you all get bored with another black car!!!

Re: Hey Rich J & C, question for the both of ya...

    Awesome...I like them rims...hehehe.. (Internal joke..sorry)
Is that your castle in the background?
Cant recall anyone in the Royal British family being 6'4'?

The black is actually very cool. I wouldn+t have thought so.. but it looks great! Congratulations!!!

Re: Hey Rich J & C, question for the both of ya...

Glad it's not only me crunching the gears into 4th - I think I've had more chrunching noises today than all the rest of my driving life!

Also glad to see that I'm not the only one you has reached for the sponge in the first few days of ownership - looks great all sparkly. Have to admit though that I did wash mine within 6 hours of picking it up - well it was filthy, adn someone had bought me a new chamois leather for my birthday I had to test drive too

So, Rich J, are we going to be able to drag you out to the New Forest area sometime..?

I had a musical 4th gear as well. Got the hang of it in the end. Thought it might have been me. Linda thought it was me. I feel a New Forest meet coming on

Actually I was almost down your neck of the woods when I took those pics... It was at the coast near Chichester, some great driving roads around there!

Weve talked about a Renteam meet in the past, perhaps we could sort something out. Living in London at the moment, so any excuse to get away to some real roads is always good!

Your right, it was harsh.. but she was sooooo dirty!

Re: Hey Rich J & C, question for the both of ya...

RichJ - when I picked up my 997 I couldn't select reverse very easily and then it redused me completely. I took it back to the dealer and they adjusted it. Worth bearing in mind if you continue to have problems - it's a very quick job - took them about 1 hour.

Re: Hey Rich J & C, question for the both of ya...

Very nice... I think the Boxster suits the new headlight design more than the 997.. nice car!!

Re: Hey Rich J & C, question for the both of ya...

That's not Littlehampton is it in the background?

Re: Hey Rich J & C, question for the both of ya...

That looks gorgeous Rich. I can't wait to get mine!!! To me this car looks like a total classic, esp from the front. Such simple lines, it's almost ageless.

Sure is! Well spotted! Not sure how I ended up there, was just driving along the coast and parked up near the sea.

Re: Hey Rich J & C, question for the both of ya...

    Very nice car RichJ
    Congratulations mate! Enjoy it!
I've always loved the Brits for their love of convertibles and the way they use them all year round despite the temperatures! That's great guys!
