    It is a veeeeery elegant colour the midnight blue and personally I would not chose it on a 996 Turbo with Aerokit...

    but the car looks indeed perfect

    PS: I guess the pictures are taken in some central mews area in London...but I might be wrong

    Looks like Lapis Blue in cloudy lighting conditions to me.
    I've been waiting to see a pic of a 996TT in this color with the PCCBs and aero kit. Nice find and unique look!

    Thanks for posting the pictures RC

    The car is now two years old. I bought it when it was 3 months old as I had been looking for a car with X50 and PCCBs on it. I would never have thought of speccing lapsis blue with aerokit, but when I saw it, it was hard not to like it, let alone drool . The yellow calipers look great with the blue colour. Amongst a sea of mainly basalt black TTs in London it really stands out. I can assure everyone that its been driven too (12K on the clock now). The Captain is right, this is a London mews. Until a couple of months ago it was parked on the street, but I have now managed to rent a garage in the mews opposite our home. Soon it will be time to wave goodbye as I'm changing to a 997S whilst waiting for the 997TT

    Here's a 996TT w/X50 & PCCB in Lapis Blue -- but, it's a Cabriolet

    That's a tough one. I held onto the 962 and 911RS/IROC the longest, but didn't get to drive them enough to truly make them my "favourites". A favourite should be the one that you would most like to drive at the drop of a hat, on the whim of the moment. They were both (the 962 moreso) difficult to do anything with in a matter of mere minutes. Too much advanced planning and too restricitve of appropriate venues to enjoy everyday. They were, however, "peak experiences" at the extreme end of the enjoyment curve.

    The 996TT's both fit the favourite billing more than the others because they are so good and so practical to enjoy. The 996TT Cab drives as well as the former coupe, but cruises in the summer with the top lowered in a much more sensuous manner.
