You once told us that people (where you live) can be very jealous and mean when see others driving "nice" cars.
Dont tell me, Kids have to suffer this kind of shit in school just because their parents have a nice car?
Still a reality here...
In my neighborhood, we had some changes, new people with expensive cars, so I do blend in now, no real issues anymore (or people just got used to it, my wife is the family doctor of half of our neighborhood now, so when they need you...
). With school, things look differently. Kids can be still mean. One older kid once teased my son "your mommy is driving you to school in a Porsche, are you rich or something?" once and stuff like that sticks to a kid's brain.
When I was a kid, I just took the kids with a big mouth in a headlock and afterwards, they never bothered me again.
Nowadays, you can't do that, you need to stick to the rules and the rules benefit those who have a big mouth, this is a reality. My son could easily take on these kids, he does Judo for three years now, Kickboxing for a year and I even started to teach him some Krav Maga (just some basics since he is a kid and it is too dangerous, for him and his "adversaries") but he is a good kid, he isn't looking for a fight (I always taught him that) and this makes the whole thing even more difficult for him because he is not the type of guy who makes fun of others.
My son shouldn't complain though, there is some serious mobbing going on at most schools over here and kids can be real cruel. They do tons of mobbing awareness courses in school but it doesn't help. My son always tells me how they pick on a girl in his class because she is a bit weird but last time he tried to help her, they started picking on him, so he backed off.
It is a cruel world out there... My daughter was lucky, she never had issues in school with other kids, maybe because they respected her (she was one of the best in the school), not because she was something special. The friendship with her best friend went down the drain because her best friend told others that my daughter lives in a "palace" and that kid even calculated how much we spent for our vacations (based on holiday pictures and what my daughter told her), which at some point made my daughter even cry. Crazy kids but the fun part is: Her formerly best friend messed up school and finished it with a bad mark, so there is justice in the world.
