Markdsv:
Maybe a cliche....and probably discussed many times, but what fuel (type of Petrol) would you use in the Cayenne Turbo, Normal 95 or the advanced Shell etc fuels? In oman we had only one type....hence no issue, in Holland we have more to choose from 😉
any pros or cons apart from cost?
cheers

Cayenne Turbo, where distances become memories very quickly
Porsche recommends 98 octane, this is the fuel type the engine has been certified with.
If you use 95 octane, the engine will have less power but you cannot harm it. Also, with 95 octane fuel, fuel consumption could actually go up a little bit, as weird as this may sound (not by much though).
Stick to 98 octane and you're good.
Higher octane fuel doesn't help you much since the engine mapping is "set" to 98 octane.
In summertime, the higher octane fuel could give you an advantage (talking of heat soak) when it is very hot outside, meaning that the higher octane fuel could prevent heat soak, resulting in a less dramatic power drop than would usually occur but this isn't really a biggie, so 98 octane would still be fine. Higher octane fuel does not make any sense in winter or spring time in Europe.
