    MIchelin PS2 Rear Tire Question

    I had to replace a rear 265/30/19 tire due to a nail. The other tires are new so I only had to replace the driver side rear. Instead of the N1 model as found on my other PS2's on the car, the dealer used an N0. Tire rack says this is for the Carrera GT (Front). Is this tire different than my passenger rear?

    Well... the number does tell you that the N1 is a newer tire than the N0. It does sound like the company used the wrong tire to me.

    "If a vehicle was originally delivered with N-specification tires that have been discontinued and are no longer available, it is recommended to change all four tires to a higher numeric N-specification design appropriate for that vehicle. Mixed tire types are not permissible."

    There is no N0 recommended for the 987, only N1.

    The CGT does have 265/35ZR19 fronts so your explanation of its fitment is plausible. I would imagine the N0 is quite a different tyre in composition - it has to cope with 200mph+ after all !
