    Porsche 911 to get bigger engines in the future

    Interesting article (knowing Rennteam probably already posted in quarantine cooking thread...):

    Bigger Engines Coming For 911

    Walliser makes some very interesting comments, I'm particularly interested in the comment about wanting the 911 to get smaller...also sounds like possible death of the NA engine at least in Europe.

    New WLTP format make bigger N/A more „efficient“, therefore Porsche developed the 4.0 l displacement engine amongst others.

    More like the EU wanted to limit the HP for cars by limiting power per litre.mail

    They really haven't solve anything by doing that, they need to wake up to the fact that real world driving is completely different than lab testing, no one use that light a throttle in the real world and manufacturers are gaming that system with turbos and a cheater fuel map on off boost settings during the emission test.
