    Unlikey that's true.

    More likely is the Online Configuration tool hasn't been updated on the US website yet.

    That really sucks! paying $200k~ and not getting optional seats at no cost

    The online configuration tool should NOT be used as a guideline for ordering these cars. They've been notoriously known to be extremely inaccurate.

    The GT2 in the US is still far cheaper than anywhere else in the world...

    its not set up correctly yet.
    If you highlight the GT2 on the first screen after selecting 911 in the Build Your own section, it states the HP at 480 - and not 520 - the same as the Turbo's.

    Entered my order yesterday.. the Carbon seats are standard. (Can't get them with the Porsche crest until at least 02/08.) Adaptive seats are also available but I can't imagine why, in this car!

    what's the weight of the sunroof?

    I am going to delete this lovely standard option from the turbo, but really wants to know the weight.

    It's about 50 lbs and you'll gain more headroom once it's gone too...

    Only standard in US - other markets didn't have to have one. The reason is that they had to have a false reason for the GT3 RS to be lighter (ROW RS cars had lightweight parts not offered in US, so RS would've been heavier than GT3 otherwise).

    There's no GT2RS, so the GT2 in the US has no standard sunroof...

    Great!

    This is the Best option I have chosen so far. Can't believe that thing weight so much! Almost 25kg and spoil the line of the 911.

    Can't believe people would like that on a sports car.

    finally someone knows why they forced it on us! still stupid, and pathetic theyd in effect "add" weight..why not give the GT3 an auto trans so that the RS is faster yet again:(
