    Saw my first 992 at the dealer, looks very nice but will look like the previous gen for 99% of the people…(sorry for the upside down pic, computer says no)

    Congratulations   ! Yes, driving report please .

    Saw it live for the first time yesterday . In real life the outside looked like an evolution of the 991 , not a departure . Actually much smaller evolution then on the photos . The back is big is too busy now . Inside , well .... super dash board is nice , center console looks like it belongs in the Macan

    it was a melee on the Porsche stand at Geneva so it was hard to get a good visual of the car standing up next to / near it and down on one's haunches. It is a relief to report that the rear is not as bulbous as it appears in the photos. I thought the front certainly has a more muscular and purposeful feel to it than the 991. I will not enter the interior debate!

    I had a chance to see and sit in the 992 for the first time today at the local Porsche  Centre.

    I found the car overall appealing for a friend of the Porsche 911. The car on display was in Carrara white with RS wheels and glass roof. A good combination IMO. I liked the design of the wider front wheel-arches, and the rear lights and the third (twin) brake light angryin combination with the rear engine grille.

    There is a large expanse of black unpainted plastic front and rear. It looks of better quality than the plastic on the nearby Macan but still too much for an expensive car. The front could be swapped for the Sport Apron that would mitigate matters. The rear looks better with the sport exhaust IMO

    The inside is mishmash and not sporty at all. The rear accommodation is still limited and the rear headroom is even worse than before.

    From the driver's seat it appears to be a very wide car and this would require a lot of caution when driving on narrower twisty roads.

    Visually this model hasn't ignited a desire to spend the lots of €€ asked for by Porsche. It is like another remake of a classic movie smiley Driving the car might change my perspective however.

    I wonder how many 991 owners would buy the 992. This car may appeal to first time Porsche buyers.yes

    Btw, I see that they are offering Lizard Green as a color for the 992. That should help sell the car.

    The design language flattens it which makes it look really wide and fat..... as if someone used the 911 design language on a sedan

    I found that rear break light not as bad irl as I feared when I saw the pictures. I heated it, now not so much. Its real flush with the louvres.
