I love it. I cant think of a better car in these conditions.
Normaly in Austria a car like the 720s sits in the Garage from end Oktober till beginning of April. In these 5+ month you wait and wait and wait for good weather to do some spirited driving again. But now with the GR Yaris I can do my Sunday morning runs year round and the roads right now are perfect. No cyclists, No motorbikes, No Sport Cars only a few comuter. Shure you have salt, dirt, sand, gravel, and also a few snowy parts but with the Yaris you dont care.
Yes my wife also doesnt like the car. The interior, the image and the exterior
. I dont care. I would give away the 997. The Yaris is so much fun when driven spirited.
You describe much of Canada as well; we have the 911 waiting for almost exactly the same time period. And our Subaru STi, soon to be 10 years old, is used for exactly the same purposes as your new Yaris; having fun with AWD power, an intelligent traction system, snow tires, all in crappy winter conditions. It doesn't see much use in summer, but my wife still has interests in a farm property, and occasionally has to do trips out to the farm in growing season, ~150 km return trip mostly on gravel roads; she usually says "I'm taking the rally car... bye...".
