    Porsche 914 type car in the future?

    Well it's talk but it seems Porsche is talking about doing this.

    It's called the Cayman (non-S) and Boxster (non-S). I don't think we'll see 4-cyl anytime soon though...

    Dont see them doing it...reduces brand presitge and puts a complicated lineup of the Boxster-->Cayman S-->911 in more peril

    I can see this .... Porsches #1 deal now is to make as much money as possible and the more cars they sell the more $$ they will make . In 10 years they will probably have many many new models , if there is a market for a new model the are going to build it . 5 or 6 years ago would anyone believed they would have half of their market the SUV market , this is just the beginning for this company .

    Porsche should just chop 2 cylinders off a cayman s engine instead if using a VW 4 cylinder.

    That 230hp turbo VW motor would make the car faster than a Boxster if it's really gonna be 2,650 lbs. Those motors are easily (and cheaply) modded for more power too. However, I'd still prefer an n/a flat-6...
