    Is this a good deal??? suggestions needed

    hello everyone. i am new to the porsche scene and am currently in the market for a 997S. i've talked to a couple dealers around my area and 1 of them is able to do $78000+tax/licensing for an S with:

    color: white
    sport chrono
    6 disc changer
    floormat

    what do you guys think?? you think i can do better than that considering the 06 are soon approaching or this is good enough already. oh by the way, i am in northern california. thanks in advance.

    That's a pretty stripped down S. Regardless, considering you are getting close to $2700 off, I'd say that you are getting a decent deal.

    I would email as many dealers in your area as you can with the car set up the way you want and tell them you are within a week of making a decision. Sit back and see what happens and then work their numbers lower if possible. I was able to pit 2 dealers against each other via email and actually came away with another 1% off the earlier price, but this only works if they have allocation to sell you and other factors. Just don't be in a hurry. Good luck.

    The way to negotiate is to get an agreement for a specific amount discounted off of the sticker price, regardless of options. For instance, my dealer gave me $5000 off of retail (because I told them that was the deal I was willing to shop the entire state for). That would have applied had I ordered a stripper, or not. I ordered a decent amount of options, sticker was $91185, and I paid $86185 + tax/tag/title. I am aware that in other parts of the country, a deal that deep is more difficult to find, and that $2000-$3000 off of retail is more the norm.

    thanks for the help 69bossnine.
    this may seem off the topic. i really like the color white but i am concerned if it'll yellow over time. especially the part of the rear bumper that is close to the exhaust pipe, due to heat. anyone with experience with a white porsche??? thanks in advance

    you could get them to go lower, my father got about $8,000 off
    his 997S

    also, please consider getting the adaptive sport seats... those are a must have along with the sport chrono, atleast sit in a car equiped with the adaptive sport seats... play with the air bag bolsters and you will love them!
