    BUT... Few interesting notes from Mr.Ruf himself:

    -he likes 380mm Iron front brakes with 8piston calipers way more then PCCBs
    -Conti Vmax tires are also his preferance(OEM on RT12)

    In fact, the Contis are the only tires available in the right size for a top-speed of 360kph...

    Indeed they are.

    Regarding brakes his opinion is way more interesting(I bet not so interesting on Porsche Technical development department)...

    The "standard brakes" might be more robust (if used on the track). However, I really like the pedal feel and feed-back of the PCCBs. Personally, I would rather risk the higher maintenance costs (new discs...) and enjoy the more precise feel of the Ceramics

    Great result indeed. In essence, similar track performance as GT2 but much better straight line performance... A phantastic achievement by Ruf

    I estimated 7:32 - 7:35 so I am happy.

    To me it would have been a miracle if the Rt12 lapped the ring faster than the GT2.
    even though the straight line speed will be stronger.

    I think it is worth mentioning that the Rt12 was set up in a rather comfortable way, acc. to v. Saurma it would've had even more potential with a more track-orientated suspension (especially on the flat-surfaced HHR shortcircuit). You get, in its tested form, a car for multiple purposes and not a track tool or extreme supercar as CGT, Koenigsegg or Pagani. Considering this background, the reported times are more than sufficient in my eyes.

    In comparison to the GT2, this doesn't give away anything of these cars' performance, since there is hardly any car undercutting these times. Haven't talked with Ruf directly but would assume that they would be willing to alternatively modify a GT2 as well, which would give you the above mentioned more aggressive setup.
