A tree almost fell on my car, lucky me...
I had owned my 987s for 4 months now and never had I had such a close encounter with an accident that was about to happen to my ride.
Yesterday a typhoon hit Hong Kong and I was waiting in line for the tunnel on Gloucester Road right outside of the Immigration Department (for those HK Rennteam mates, it was ridiculous we only had a signal 3 yesterday). There were 2 cars in front of me a cab 2 cars in front and a jet black SL 55 AMG with the retractable hardtop. Boom! 3 trees were blown away and dropped onto the cab and then the SL 55 AMG and I was shaking in my car cos I thought I would be next. Then thank god it didn't happen. The tree fell right on top of the SL's metal roof and if it had happened to me, for sure my roof would be totally gone and I don't even know if I will be hurt. That's always something I wonder... what if something like this happens to a canvas top for sure it would not hold up. More of a reason for a coupe next time I guess.
