Stephen i read about your unfortunate incident in the nutmeg state and how badly you were treated. And i do not want a debate about particular speeds, but please don't drop terms like the above especially coming from the mouth of an average "cop". Like many said in the other thread; complex's, lack of education etc. etc.
I, too, look forward to this report from a country that still preserves the rights of its drivers with accompanying responsibility.

Let me be clear. The commentator was not related to the incident. The commentator was reacting to the incident. He was in fact a very ordinary police officer based in California. He said what he said. I didn't misrepresent that. And I didn't claim that he represented all police. So I stand by what I said and how I said it.

About 22 km of almost traffic free non speed limited Autobahn-like street and of course I used both directions. Of course not 290 for consecutive 10 minutes but around 10 minutes at speeds varying from 240 to 294 kph on the speedo but most of the time at top speed. I didn't want to shoot a picture unless the street was completely empty because even one car alone can cause trouble if the driver is nuts.
The picture has been taken one-handed with a Canon Powershot with image stabilizer which allowed a pretty clear picture, even if the car is shaking. I started to love this camera for driving pictures because it really delivery shake-free pictures.
The video capability is even more impressive, I have a nice video from Weissach test track which I'll post as soon as we move to the new server.
