Will be almost double the price of a base Urus once specced up. Two different categories of cars. Most owners will also have a SUV in the household which may even be an Urus.
Another criteria that differentiates it from the Urus and Cayenne Turbo GT is the availability, I assume. Unlike the latter two, I guess a non-VIP Ferrari customer will not be able to receive an allocation, at least not until all the VIP customers orders are filled in, regardless of his/her purchase power.

Correct. However, eventually anyone who wants one will be able to get it.

Performance wise I'm sure it will be great being a hybrid, but I'm not sure it being slightly cheaper will matter much to someone paying 400k for a SUV, but I think you are spot on in that purist and loyal customers will value the V12 while new buyers may not appreciate the difference in engine character and experience as much, and won't mind.

nberry:Ferrari knows its customers. The first two years of the vehicle are sold out and Ferrari has stopped taking orders. The upper one % have too much money.
Or the Purosangue is too cheap...following your logic.

I hope you're shredding the South Island- I do miss those tracks! I see you are dreaming of strutting her PS stuff in Auckland
I think I'm [temporarily] over the Ferrari binge I went on when I almost died in the river, so I'm seeing them more objectively. When I return, I think I'll get another 812 Super Fast, and a Speciale, both great for hammer down back road desert running.
As for the Pure Blood -- The issue is it's not useful, except for showing off:
- It has no Low Range, correct? Useless on the tracks
- And would you really want to shred paint this expensive, with Idaho Pinstripes? If you really use your SUV, there's no functionality and massive down side in potential damage.
- The Labs might fit, but really it's a girl car for going to town, the ski mountain, the gym, the store. It would replace Madame's RSQ8 [or as Crayphil points out Uruses] but she's completely happy with it and very negative about Ferrari -- her quote on Ferraris: "you need a Persian girlfriend", or I guess in her case a Private Equity wanker, not a back country truck breaker with 4 or 5 muddy Labs
. No insult to anyone, but it's LA/London girl's status rig through and through, kinda like Chuck LeClerc's stolen watch.
