    lights pbs on a 986

    Hello,
    I get a light problem on my Boxster 986 ( year 1998 ROW model, manual gear)
    Suddenly, I have no lights working on LEFT side only ( no high beam, no low beam, no side marker, no rear side marker also )
    fog light works, and turn signal also
    Of course, I checked all bulbs and fuses
    Any idea or help is welcome

    You could try releasing the headlight unit, then immediately pushing it back in - this will disconnect and reconnect the electrical connector block behind the headlight unit - you need to use the 5mm hexagonal socket/lever from the toolkit and remove the carpet in the front boot (and the rubber cover) to access the latching mechanism - details in your owners manual

    I've done this several times, but no way to have the left side work again

    Have you checked the relevant fuses and relays ??

    Most of the relays are above the fuse box, hanging down under the dashboard - you'll need to look at the manual or fuse leaflet to identify any relevant relays.

    Percymon, you were right, it was the electrical connector block behind the headlight unit...
    the headlight base is now broken, and I have to buy a new one ....
