Its soo much better looking than the Vantage IMO...Thing is though, the colour you choose makes a huge difference to its visual appeal. Give me one in red, white, silver or blue and im happy...

The heck with " bench racing " it's performance versus peers .This is the most beautiful car on the market. I'd take the future convertible in metallic blue with a blue/cream two tone interior . .
Love the " Neptune's trident " Maser symbol cleverly , discretely incorporated into the red car's wheels spoke design ,too.
The other wheel shown has industry -generic spoke pattern.

Great pics guys, I had a look at one up close at the dealer last week and it is a huge improvement over the predecessor, but only the side mirrors looked tacky for me. The part from which the mirror joins the body looks very plastic. Otherwise everything else is breathtaking especially at the price!

I had a 5 hour test drive yesterday in advance of my own car arriving next month. It is a stunning car that gets admiring looks all the time. It is not a sports car and Maserati have not marketed it as such. That tag seems to have been applied by the motoring media in the belief that it is a replacement for the 4200 range which it is not. It is, as it's name says, a grand tourer and it fills that role perfectly. The build quality is superb with no squeaks or rattles and the skyhook suspension was a revelation in comfort over some of the badly maintained roads we have hear. The sat nav is very quick to reroute if you miss a turn and the the auto gearbox is very smooth with good control via the paddle shifters in sport mode. I had no complaints on the power front. Yes it needs revs and/or dropped a couple of gears to hit the power band sometimes but that is what we used to call involved driving 
The only criticism I'd level is the comfort of the seats which are slightly narrow. I can't wait for mine to arrive now

I will gladly share them when it arrives. Perhaps my expectations are lower than owners of the GranSport who seem dissapointed by the size and weight of the GranTurismo. I have to say that the 4200 model line never floated my boat so I must be the sort of buyer Maserati were targeting with the GT who would use the car as their daily driver and already own faster toys for the weekend. I swung by my parents house whilst on the test drive and my father was so impressed he got me to order one for him which will be built in April. I've told my dealer that I expect this bit of salesmanship on my part will push me up their queue for the forthcoming F149 and they said yes so we shall see if they are true to their word
