    Boost Pressure and 3m Clear Bra

    Two questions for this group;

    Is there a boost pressure limiter in effect until 2000 miles have passed?

    Those of you that have installed the 3m clear bra product, how long have you waited before you washed the car after the installation of the product?

    Hank,

    Don't know about the first question, but the second...I was told wait a few days for the 3M to set. Have the installer include the spray can of stuff that helps keep the film from cracking and discoloring. Use this after you wash the car.

    im thinking the rpm limiter is a myth...if not why does the ecu do such a good job of monitoring various levels of excessive rpm...what a deal a 24/7 porsche lawyer with every car, at no additional charge...3m a couple of days apparently the warmer the temps the better...great product

    Hank,

    I found no limit on boost pressure while in the breakin phase. Either in stock or sport mode, just floor the sucker and you should see full boost (and overboost) if conditions are right. Just try to keep revs reasonable!

    I know we've discussed this before on this forum in terms of pressure measured in BARs but I'm interested in the US folks boost pressure. So far it looks like 14psi is about as much as I can muster, have others hit the 18psi max on the bar graph?

    my car hit 15 psi and 18psi in standard and sport mode respectively, since day one (5th or 6th gear).
