    And another "I bought one!" post

    After many months of deliberation I bought a 997. It is a MY06 C2. Atlas grey with sand beige interior. I'll post pictures, if anyone cares to see it, when I have it! I signed all of the paperwork and own it, but I have left it at the dealer. They should be installing the sport shifter on Friday and the navigation components are being shipped from somewhere (Germany maybe?) If it is going to take too long for the nav stuff to get here I'll pick it up on Friday and just start enjoying it.

    Congratulations, definitely put in pics. ..............but no eating in the 997.

    The Rangie is so comfortable! It really is a nice ride, too. Our collection now is the Range Rover, a Discovery II, and now the Carrera. This is so much fun!

    Ok MAYBE I'd have a BigMac in the Discovery -- that thing could handle so much abuse. At least you ahve the Disco II, the Disco I was a POS...though my mom loved it.

    There's plenty of potential other reasons to bring it back to the dealer; then you can get that nav installed.

    yea i got mine and 2 days later brough it in for v1 install, I just couldnt wait an extra day

    MMD: I'll need to get out my voodoo doll to warrant off your blasphamy about problems that will need the dealer to fix! ;-)

    Omeko3: Your dealer did your V1 install? How did they do it? I have a V1 already, so I will be installing it myself.

    Well, the sport shifter kit never arrived for them to install by today. I think I am going to pick up the car anyway. I might as well drive it, and let it make my garage look prettier instead of theirs.
