SL500 issue

Every morning driving out of the driveway the first shift into second is very abrupt and harsh. is this normal? I dont like accelerate or anything crazy. its just that 1st shift into second gear.
any comments on wether this might be normal or if its something that should be looked at before it gets worse

Common occurence. Usually nothing to worry about, but a nuissance. 7-speed, right?

very abrupt and harsh? there is something wrong..if i were you i will check it in the workshop

Dimitri, it's a very common occurence with the 7G. Some cars have it, some don't, but it doesn't mean there is any damage.

As Crash said some of SL-CLS has problems with 7g. But best way is to visit workshop if the problem makes the owner much annoyed.

yes sory its a 7g, so this is normal i gues huh for a car that has only 4800kms on the clock!

My 7g has NEVER shifted abruptly. Have your car checked by MB.

My 7g has NEVER shifted abruptly. Have your car checked by MB.

Like I've said, some do, some don't. The workshop is going to check it, but in all likelyhood he will just be told that it is normal.
