I've driven about 100 miles now in my 997, and arrived home earlier to find I couldn't select reverse gear. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't want to force it, but the odd thing is that it selected fine earlier.

Which "coupling" is that? Maybe find out exactly what they did. Seems funny that the car has been track tested before shipment for 30 or so miles in Germany and it was fine there.
Exorcize any Demons trying to grab the car by mercilessly grilling the service department.

There is a TSB that addresses this issue
Do you have or know where I can find the TSB you refer to?

The most "classic" methode:
select neutral, release the clutch pedal for an instant, then repush pedal and select reverse.
It's a normal event during "break-in of gear box.
