    So who coming? Nurburgring this May that is?

    C'mon then. You've all had time to come up with excuses to the "Fun Police", re-organise holidays, weddings, dirty weekends away and anything else you had organised so c'mon, speak up...

    Who's attending the Green Hell on the evening/weekend of the 10th, 11th and 12th May 2008.

    I'm there and booked in at AM-Tiergarten on the evening of the 10th and all day on the 11th. I'm also at Spa on the 12th. Looking forward to it like you couldn't imagine.

    Lets see how many of you were serious!

    PS. I'm following PJ round the Nurburgring as he's sure to be fairly handy now as a guide.

    Excellent.

    It's an "Autotrack" Open Pit Lane event and I've booked through MLR. It's fully booked at the moment but I believe they are running a reserve list.

    I make it 3 from Rennteam so far then (I'm counting PJ also).

    I'll probably come join you guys. As I don't live far away, I'll probably come for one day. I'm gonna check the dates. If available, I'll book a room at Tiergarten on Saturday night too...

    Too much honour for a humble rookie (I have to complete my 100th lap yet) But I see for advanced driving a proud owner of the famous "R" badge will join us
    I'll make sure to book a room also, so that we can have a beer (only 1 of course - a hangover is the least you want at NoS ) at Pistenklause Saturday night. I'm sure we all will have a blast

    I have plans to have a trip in south america from early May till September.
    I need to check the dates of my trip; might make a 2 days stop in Germany before flying to Argentina (thought about a stop in NY, but Germany is nice also )

    That would be a nice reunion, Discover
    Something for the real enthusiast: Tel Aviv - Buenos Aires with a stopover at Nordschleife And you'd save about 7 hrs flight time (compared to the NY stopover)

    Okay, for those interested. There will be 3 x twin rooms coming available at the Am-Tiergarten Hotel for the night of the 11th May 2008 very shortly.

    Get them while they are hot. I've just canceled them tonight via email so they may take a while to show as vacant.

    I have been to the Ring today

    It was great fun to drive the Nordschleife with almost no traffic at all.

    On my way to the parking lot, I saw this camouflaged prototype of "I-don't-know". Maybe one of the fellow members can identify it.

    While returning back home to Luxembourg I encountered this nice location which I found perfect for another photo shot
    It's actually a small bridge and underneath it flows a streamlet...I need a wideangle

    Thanks for the nice pics

    The what-is-it-car looks like a BMW to me, but it also could be a MB (they like to put Munich plates on their testcars just to fool the audience ).

    I missed you last Sunday - fantastic weather (17*C, blue sky). Playing with some friends....

    You guys are so lucky you live within easy access of the Nurburgring and you can get your normal car insurance to cover you. I feel so unlucky being British and cut off from Continental Europe on an island infested by speed cameras

    PJ, I was pissed that I missed the Easter Weekend at the 'Ring! The F1 circuit was open for 20 min/20 Euro laps. I still need to get on the F1 portion so i can finally say i've driven all of the Nuerburgring.

    Guass, damn i should contact all my "neighbors" before i head out onto the roads. I was in Lux last weekend for 150+ KM drive.

    Anyways, close to a month away for the Rennteam 'Ring Meeting!!!

    Last Sunday it was 30 min/30 Euro Though I stayed at NoS - will soon attend a 5 hr session at the GP-circuit offered by "my" PZ

    When I drive to the Ring, I very often take the route via Bitburg. Lots of curvy roads! Love it!

    Yes unfortunately I couldn't make it last Sunday! That's a lovely pic, but why is your Boxster so far behind? *just kidding*
    I have noticed, that they have raised the prices. 1 lap costs now 21 Euro , and 4 laps cost 70 Euro .
    probably because of the new pavement and the new security fences etc.

    Prices are as follows:

    1 lap = 21 Euro
    4 laps = 70 Euro
    8 laps = 135 Euro
    15 laps = 235 Euro
    25 laps = 370 Euro

    Annual season-ticket = 995 Euro (used to cost 895 Euro )

    there is no all-day pass anymore afaik.

    btw on Saturday 10th of may, the North Loop is open only from 18:00 to 19:30.
