Wow! I too was grinning the entire time watching the video. Those CGTs sound incredible!
But man, when Cobra was mentioned I was thinnking about one of those old Shelby Cobra kit cars...not the Cobra I saw in the video! When I saw the steering wheel and interior...I was like...I have one of those (and I do)! Here is a similar 1999 Mustang Cobra Ed was driving:
305 hp NA V8, 5 speed manual.
Man...pretty impressive stuff for a chassis that was designed back in the 1960s stuffed with a 32 valve V8. And just like Ed says in the Video...the Next Mustang Cobra should be loads better...it will look something like this:
That Cobra should when it is released have around 450 hp.
Hey Ed, you and I both have and probably both love our Mustangs but man...unless you really mod it up...you will never catch them once speeds hit 150 mph+. So...if you really can afford it...Ford has this piece of kit for you to run with the CGTs (well...at least maybe to 180 mph this time!):
Ford GT - 500 bhp!
Yeah...I know...still not quite up to CGT standards... but what is! Porsche! Gotta love the Germans! But for a Porsche driver (or test engineer) to give a thumbs up to a well driven Ford...that is a huge compliment!
Great job Ed! If you don't mind me asking...what do you do in Germany and how did you get your job there! I am about to graduate from Georgia Tech Graduate school and would love to work abroad for a little.
