Alonso, 2021 Q3 lap.
Someone made a video highlighting how much fiddling he had to do in ONE lap for his settings.
Also noticed at the end how early he aborted the lap with Gasly's car parked to the side, same lap where Max ignored the yellow flag and got penalized.

Oh no, Chuck's Luck Sucks!!! I'm really glad he signed my Pista, he's excellent
Still some fun stuff today between Russell and Max.
Russell is team leader. Lil' Lewey needs to stops whining, he pulled himself up nicely but bitch, bitch, woe is me --when it's his attitude bringing him down.

Mick is quite an accomplished racer. His last name helps but he did it on his own merits. Given an equal car, he will be comforatbly ahead of Latifi, Stroll, Tsunoda at least. MIght even be ahead of Albon, K-Mag, I might even put him on par with Ricciardo.
Ferrari signed him to be their future, after Leclerc and Sainz.

CGX car nut:Russell once again has proven himself as the face of Mercedes today and tomorrow. He’s an amazing driver but with working DRS the Red Bull advantage was very much evident. I’m still surprised by the new reliability issue with the Ferrari PU.
Russell is the real deal, hence why Mercedes had to promote him. He had the 19th fastest car during his Williams years and dragged it to places it shouldn't be.
If he is in the Red Bull this year, he would leave Max far in the rear view mirror. Max didn't manage to pass him on track in a much superior car today.

Great result for Russell! If Hamilton didn’t oversteer and get a flat there would have been two Mercedes at the front battling the Bulls! Looks like Mercedes is back in the hunt. Exciting season is unfolding!

Exactly what he’s doing to Hamilton.

Actually not today. Hamilton is the fastest guy on track today. Perez only piped him to the fastest lap by 0.1 second.
If he didn't get bumped by K-Mag, he could as well fight with the Red Bulls.
Seeing how Max can't even get pass Russell on track, I have to imagine he would have trouble passing Hamilton either.
Max kept his whining image by keep harping to his garage about the DRS failure, he almost had a nervous breakdown about it. Hamilton just hunkered down and do his thing, crawling his way back from 19th to 4th.
Best driver today would be a tie between Hamilton and Alonso.

He also got a black and white for track limits. Anyway, RB, Ferrari and MB cars are way faster than the rest so, it wasn’t overly difficult passing the back markers IMHO, but was a good drive from him none the less. Russell was 32 seconds behind Max, and Ham almost a minute.

Both Russel and Hamilton had to go into engine preservation mode the last couple of laps not able to use full throttle. Hamilton was nearly a minute behind after his puncture and was in last place on track after pitting, doing without benefit of safety cars was awesome. Finishing gap is a little misleading.

To be fair Russel out qualified Hamilton, and during the fast stint on soft tires Russell was on a more comfortable place behind the RB and did not have to push like Hamilton who had to catch Borras and Sainz, so Hamilton being faster on a few laps on that soft stint at the end of the race doesn't say much to how fast Russell could have been if he pushed it instead of managing the gap he had. And Russell has clearly been the faster overall driver of the two this season so far.

Seriously, I know spanish people are still salty about Alonso/Hamilton in late 00's but you can't deny Hamilton has been fast. And yesterday he did and amazing recovery from P19 to P4! Unfortunately he had bad luck again and he was forced to cool down the car and let Sainz go by.
