    Why people love the 911 concept...

    Well, for example (my 991.1 C4 GTS Cab), you can transport two full sized spinners (suitcases), a mid sized luggage piece from Porsche and another cabin trolley from Samsonite. The second mid sized luggage piece from Porsche is in the front trunk, together with a flat bag. The luggage room also proves why the 911 Cab is the best idea to drive a 911...you can load it much easier from "above". Not sure this kind of luggage would have fit the Coupe.

    Not sure this kind of luggage would have fit the Coupe.

    While it is easier to load the luggage in the Cabrio, you are missing out on the rear compartment above the engine and the rear seats are slightly more upright in the Cabrio making the space shorter. Still, the amount of luggage one can fit in the 911 is impressive Smiley

    Of course, any sane person who is not a sports car fanatic would look at you and ask why the f'k you don't get a more useable car Smiley

    My wife wants to have the Cab during our vacation and I do not want to drive the Jeep or Macan, so I'm taking the R8. Everyone is happy. blush Also, I want to do some driving with my son around Lake Garda, there are superb roads and you don't even need to be fast to enjoy them. Hotel has a guarded parking lot, so everything is perfect.

    Thanks Smiley but (to be honest), there is a little bit more to the story than it appears: Smiley

    It seems one of our "former" (not much contact) friends will be with his family in the same hotel at the same time and when my wife attended the funeral(!) of his mother, I had to work, his brother was crying while he (this "former" friend) told my wife that he has a Porsche like me now as well, a new 911 Targa (991.1). My wife was pretty p.ss.d and I was quite surprised as well because this is not something you tell someone at a funeral of the last one of your parents (his father died last year). So this is kind of a payback, since that guy has three kids and will be at the hotel in his family SUV. Smiley 

    I know, I know...maybe a bit childish but my wife really wants the Cab there, I enjoy driving my R8, kids are happy as well (well, as long as they do not have to drive with my wife Smiley but they need to exchange the cars from time to time during the trip) and we aren't exactly good friends with that guy anymore (only with his brother), so kind of a bit of a face palm because we know how much he hates vacationing with the family (seriously, he enjoys doing trips with his buddies and his bikes).

    I am pretty sure that some of the guys here have similar "complications" in their social life but they do not write about it. I only write about those "complications" which cannot be tracked back to me. Smiley One of my wife's best friends, a highly attractive (single) woman, looking amazing at her age (50), has some sort of Tourrete's syndrome (well, not really, she just always says what she thinks). You can imagine how interesting this gets whenever she is around, I love her (as a friend), she is so much fun, even if she sometimes tells me what she thinks as well. No surprise that she is still single though. Smiley Smiley


    I wish you a great holidays, hope you'll enjoy it with your family and without having to worry about what other people think or do... wink

    I only worry when it comes to neighbors and the kids. Other than that, I couldn't care less. Smiley Smiley

    Every night, before going to bed, I watch one or two episodes of a US sitcom (doesn't matter what...). It helps me to relax and have a good night's sleep. Works like a charm. Smiley Humor is very important to me.
