    Porsche Floor Mats

    I want to change my Porsche floor mats...How they charge $115 for such cr#p is beyond me. Not only are they wafer thin & cheap looking, I'm surprised at how hard it is to get stains out

    Has anyone tried the Lloyd mats....Do they supply the mat with just an anti-slip rubber backing, or do they actually put velcro on the back so that you can use the Porsche 'attachment system'...
    Any other suggestions on a good mat?

    I don't know about the 997 but I have them on the 993 (Lloyds) and they are great. Pretty heavy, but on my 993 the thread is of a thicker type, not the fine ones like on the stock 997. They may have a different type for the 997, but on the 993, they are perfect.

    I need one with a reinforced pad under the gas pedal heel. I always wear a hole in the OEM mats in 6 months time.

    Try www.ggbailey.com. The company is owned by Racemark Inc.They supply BMW, Mercedes, etc, with floor mats. This is their retail store. I had them in my M3. No problems.

    Is it my shoe??? The heel area is wearing out on my as well, and I only have 800 miles on my car.

    I'm a sucker for O.E. equipment, so I'll likely use my original Porsche mats until they are just shot, then I'll go with an aftermarket (assuming I can get a Terracotta match), and I'll also purchase an additional set of the "Porsche" mats just to sit in the wrapper on a shelf, so that if I ever sell the car, or keep it, whatever, I'll always have a new set of the correct mats at-hand.

    today i saw my floor mat has generated a white hole under the gas pedal!!! with only 5000 km on the car!

    Glad to be of assistance Holminator. Take a look at the website of the parent company, www.racemark.com. Very interesting! I'm ordering a set a custom mats myself. Not crazy about the Porsche mats, especially for $115

    Last week i ordered Porsche Licensed Mats (LLOYDS Mats) thru www.roadworksauto.com - I ordered them with PORSCHE in red on top and CARRERA in silver beneath - these LLOYDS mats are often praised by people for their durability and quality.

    hwat do u think for red floor mats along with guards red seat belts, in a total black interior, for deviation.....
    nice or too flashy and kinky?

    Maybe red TRIMMED mats to match red seat belts but not all red.
    When I get my 997S cab I'll put a pic in of the PORSCHE leather trimmed mats. Mine will be all black. I saw them in a 997 S coupe a few weeks ago and they look fantastic. $425 sounds like a lot for mats but it's a great option imo. It really ties off the leather interior to the carpet very nicely.

    Sorry if you find them tasteless, but rubber floor mats are very good as well: easily washable and very solid. Very cheap also, compared to OEM Porsche floor mats.

    I don't care for rubber floor mats in a PORSCHE. In my Dodge Durango and Mercedes ML I have the full set.
