Re: Has Anyone Tried the Carrera 997 ECU Upgrade by GIAC
If anyone had it, I'm sure that they wouldn't admit it, since Porsche is now grasping at any straw, to ass you out of warranty. And, let's not think that we didn't pay for that warranty on that overpriced window sticker.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that entire BS about "do you want Porsche to pay for beating on your car". Well, yes I do. Why shouldn't Porsche be any different than every other business? It ain't "the Christian thing to do" but, it's factored into all business plans. I believe that Porsche should be held more accountable for fixing cars, because of their marketing plan based on racing heritage. Porsche is culpable and shouldn't be left off the hook.
I wonder, how many DME's are checked for blown engines in a Hyundai, as opposed to DME checks at an oil change for a Porsche. There is a reason why they're called beater cars, and I would bet that if they cost 100k, they would be driven more carefully. No one ever talks about the potential loss of wrapping a Kia around a pole.
Sorry for going off topic, just pissed that my car had to suck, while most of yours doesn't.
