    Porsche 998 Photoshop

Lets imagine an even sportier evolution of the 997 into a 998? The familiar lines that we all grew up with and recognise in all its evolutions, with a slight modern and aggressive touch for the future... the 911 has lots of potential

Here is the original photo used

    Here is the "evolution":

And a couple of versions in other colors:

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

Well done, you should go to Porsche and show them how a newage Carrera has to look like! I like your photoshops... very good!!!

    Thanks for sharing them!

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

I like it I hope they would implement this for 997 Widebody though.

You are right! Why should we wait for the 998? and why didn't I think so, like you did?

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

Nice job Carlos! I want them all!!

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

Art on wheels! Nice work, Carlos.

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

Another great job from the photoshop Guru
I like very much, there's no pimp big rear spoilers and other stuff that Teq Equip. likes to do on their products. Anyway I would make some minor mods. The grills on the rear bumper would be put a litlle higher, at the same level as the exhaust pipes and eliminate the center rear grill between the pipes. Rear bumper is to low, even lower than the side skirts, which gives an unbalanced look.

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

    nice job

Looks like it could be the next 997 C4S.

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

    Glad you guys like it!

The main changes are that I think the windows should not go down as much, they need to be less tall, for a sportier & modern appearance, less sedan'ish.

Accentuating the rear and front hips, and conecting them with slightly protruding sideskirts really improve the 911 lines and pose.

Also the exhausts look better when incorporated into the rear bumper, its more modern, instead of coming out underneath like older cars. They could be moved up higher even.

I always liked the rear reflector strip, it pulls the beautiful 911 rear together. Should be standard.

Rear lights need to be LEDS finally, since we are trying to make it look more modern.

No big aerodinamic add ons and grills and intakes all over the place, like J. Seven says. Its easy to get carried aways pimping up the car but the cleaner the better and the harder too.

I may eventually try a version of the front side when I get the photoshop urge again

J.Seven, points taken, if I mod it I will try I should also mod the rear light design from the original 997 design (less tall and longer)

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

    Wow! Superb job Carlos!

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

    Looks terrific!

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

    Very nice!

    Cheers!

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

Yeah it's a great photoshop but it sort of reminds me of... a 928 ! To me it's a bit too squat in the back...

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

    Thanks

Update: following J.Seven's comments... lower sideskirt to better match bumper, removed center bumper grill and raised lateral ones

Also modified rear lights for even wider stance and a couple of details.

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

Nice job Carlos . You made Autospies' day .

I agree- i expected LED lights (BMW E46 already have then since 2003) but it seems that they are trying to keep such things for the face lift version. They should not do that.

BMW already has rear stop lights that they are ''adaptive'' depending on the brake pedal pressure...

    What are they waiting for?

    The NEW 997C4S!!

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

Do you think that C4S will have different look than C2S apart from 4WD, damping settings, gearing etc?

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

Judging by the 996 to which the 997 evolves from, no not the initial AWD version (the equivalent to the 996C4) I don't think so. There are rumors of 4mm wider but this doesn't make sense at all, not likely. The only changes may be small details such as maybe caliper colors (silver) and wheel centre caps or stuff like that.

Another thing is the AWD carrera widebody (turbo-look) version due after the Turbo is out (since the Turbo is the original widebody and it should be the one to premiere the widebody look). That one will be wider, turbo wheels, etc. like the 996C4S to the 996C2.

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

Judging by the scoop photos it seems to me that Turbo won't be significant wider than 997 but the whole macho look will be based on body parts (aero tail, skirts, cooling ducts on rear wings).

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

my next porsche is gonna be yellow for sure.

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

God that looks good. Before you put both the original and mod up in the same page I kept going back and forth to see why the the car looked so much wider in the rear. It looked more aggresive in the rear like the panels were much rounder but I guess it's not. I guess it's a combination of being lower with the revised rear lights. The 997 Turbo is going to be amazing. I gave the dealer that has my 997 S cab inbound a deposit for a 997 Turbo cab. Depending on how much I like the convertible I may or may not choose to get a Turbo coupe instead of waiting for the Turbo Cab. I can only imagine how sick the Turbo cab is going to look. From the back cab's have always looked wider to me. I've been reading great things about how quiet inside the S cab is. How they've really done a great job with wind noise top up and down.
Love what you did with the photoshop. One of my IT guys installed photoshop on my computer at the office so I could modify pic size for this forum, I would love to learn how to do some of what you did here. Amazing !Thanks!

    You're gifted Carlos
I still think the rear bumper is to low and in my wiew the grills should go up just a litlle bit more.
Now, the modified rear lights are absolutely AMAZING, it really makes the rear look much more exoctic which is something always missing on most Porsche cars. Great work Carlos congrats

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

    Hello everybody!

To bring it back in mind... it was long time ago...

It would interest me, when you guys (and ladies) exspect the next evolution from the 997 to the 998? Can someone give us a comparison to the evolution-dates in the past?

It would be great if Porsche would do the next evolution like Carlos from Spain did the aweful photoshops!

    Thanks for help... and...

    Greetings

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

    Carlos this is great job!
Hope P designers checking this topic!!!

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

I think they should hire you - I want one. The fact that the changes are so subtle individually yet add up to a really horny beast is the thing I like.

    Cheers,

    SoS

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

Wow, thanks guys, glad you liked it

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

With a bit of luck we won't be too disappointed - the experts near Zuffenhausen seem to be hinting that P are going to have to squeeze in a (wider) V8 to get more power - hopefully giving us the "Hips don't lie" impressions that you so artfully produced in your images...

*Hint* to any people close to Porsche; pleeeeease give us some satisfaction.

    Re: Porsche 998 Photoshop

nice, how bout the front ?
