    Entry Door Sills with your name written on-Exclusive

    I read in an Porsxhe Exclusive Brochure that like the carbon or alluminium entry door Sills you can order entry sills with your name written on!
    Interesting prposal,for those who want to add a note of exclusivity to their 997.
    Moreover,as you keep the originals,you have the opportunity to replace them when time come for resale..
    How do you evaluate this option?

    maybe porsche should spend less time engraving and more time figuring out how to replace the cd-changer with an IPOD...

    I think its a good idea - if you look at it from Por$che's point of view to maximise profit from people with more money than class... ;-)

    i think its a matter of personal preference, and has nothing to do with class or money.
    Also totally irrelevant with Ipod story.
    In the same philoshophy someone can blame people who own a speed yellow 911, for their lack of class, a fact that i do not support.

    I saw a Cayenne in Zuffenhausen with '500 PS' door sills and thought it looked quite cheesy but chacun a son goût.

    I knew a guy that lived on our street that had his name put on the door of his car at the factory. His name was Eddie, Eddie Baurer.

    Interestingly, the iPod can come engraved with your name. Or anything you want on it. For the Porsche seal, I'd have them engrave the date of delivery with my initials on it, like my watches. That would be cool. Or something like "onebadmotherfucker" on it.

    I saw them on a car, I even have pictures but can't post them because the owner wouldn't want it. On the driver side, this car has the wife's signature, on the co-driver side, the husband's signature. In my opinion, this is the most useless and dumb option but to each his own I guess.
    This option only makes sense if you put the company or a similar thing on the door sills but your signature? Ouch.
