OK, I'm still not exactly on board with Porsches marketing here.....
It's supposed to be geared towards younger buyers.....but more expensive than the Boxster?.....that's interesting, doesn't Porsche know that in *most* cases wealth takes time to accumulate??, and being a mid 30's guy myself the absolute last thing I care about is trunk space and a hatch!
To me the translation of the story is more like....
"The typical Cayman buyer will be young and rich and will want to carry all his cash around in the spacious trunk."
"He will not think twice about parting with $60k large even knowing that a coupe based on the Boxster with a few extra ponies should cost about the same as a Boxster S. His youthful spontaneity has not yet been clouded by a few more years of wisdom."
Sorry, that was a pretty funny article IMO.......I love the spin. C'mon Porsche, cut the crap and give us the goods.

I am not certain aboout 1995 but the introductory price of the 968 in the US was $41,605 1n 1991. Not much was changed between then and when the last models were sold in 1995. In fact there was no change between 1994 and 1995. The last model year for the 968 was essentially 1994.
