    somehow it's funny, the 996 targa's always been criticised by sports car enthousiast for its lack of rigidity, even compared to the cab.
    I would have tought that a targa is more rigid than a coupe.
    Then again...
    I don't think the M030 sports suspension was available on the Targa, so that says something about its rigidity I guess.

    I am not a fan of Targa but for a fact I know many people in Houston that favore Targa over Cab. or coupe. Even though due to constant sun and heat we call Targa Microwave oven in Houston but I've seen alot of Targas out there.

    This is quite an old article. I thought it was posted long ago... Still, it is the ONLY article about a 997 targa I have seen, and it is unmistakable a targa... For me, I like thr 993-996 targa a lot... let it come!

    I don't think so... the PSE has the biggest pipes at the outside, and the smaller ones on the inside. This looks otherwise to me.

    And BTW this is not PSE its just the angle of the foto in my opinion.

    PSE as mentioned by Joost is (biggest pipes out)

    I'll take one! I had a 993 targa and took it to the track alot, it worked good for me. I am sure in the hands of a pro you could tell the diff. but I did well in the class with it. The 996 targa design looks poor IMO but the 997 targa will be good for me. Only thing better would be a 997 turbo targa, they have made these in the past, I hope they do it in the future.
