    Hoist or cart for storing hard top?

    Do you use hoist or roller cart for storing your hard top?

    Where is a good place to get the hoist? I knonw the dealer has the cart for around $239.

    I have a rack that allows you to mount it on the wall of your garage. It is a Porsche part and I got it from my dealer. I will be selling mine soon since my new cab was ordered without the hardtop. I don't know if the 997 and 996 hardtops are exactly the same. Maybe Porsche makes a similar rack for the 997.

    I've had two convertibles in a row on which I've used a hardtop hoist. I also have a roller cart, which I used before buying the hoist. The hoist wins hands-down (for me); I have the motorized version and it works quite well. Try this site:

    brt3, tis is a Very helpful site. Agree with your recomendation on using the hoist. The hoist eliminates begging the wife for help
    I will check into the wall mount as well. Thanks again.
