Thanks for the pic.
That's the combo (Silver/Black) I have on order. I thought about Black/Black but I think the contrast between the Silver body color and Black top/Interior really adds to the look of a cabriolet.

I think that Brandywine's launch cab is very very close to the one you have on order and it is available right now last I heard. Take a look at their inventory & see. The only differences would be the leather visors, thicker steering wheel & binding on mats.

You're right. It wasn't in their inventory (in the Porsche site anyway) but I just called them and the car is available. $102,730.
I just left a message for my dealer, I want to see where my car is at. I forgot to list a couple of the options I have on order - Crest in Headrests, heated seats and auto dim mirrors but the car at Brandywines is very similar except for the wheels. The new Carrera classics are pretty nice as well. I'm dying to see how the adaptive sport seats look with the Porsche crests. Especially in the cabriolet where you can really see the top of the seats (w/ the top down) it must be awesome.
I will probably wait for the car I ordered. I'm not sure what would happen with my $2500 deposit if I backed out and I have a good relationship with this dealer. Because of the other cars I've bought from him supposedly I am getting his first customer car. I plan on telling him to keep $500 as a deposit for his first 997 Turbo Cabriolet.

I am buying my dealer's launch cab. Mainly because I originally was going to get a coupe, then decided to wait for the convertible, then got tired of waiting for a custom ordered slot to open up.
Also, I think this will save me substantial $$$$ because I know I would keep adding options as well as get GT Silver & Cocoa until my car cost over $110k. At $100k it is enough.

That is for the launch car out of Newport Beach California right ? I saw a pic of that car on the other board : "New Cab arrived at local dealer" It has Sport Design Wheels. The $102,730 I was referring to was for the 997 S cab that is in the picture on the top of this page. It's at Brandywine Porsche in PA. It has Carrera Classic wheels and adaptive sport seats.

Yes the description I provided was for the launch car in Newport Beach. But, I was trying to provide a list of what you get for around $102k since another poster was questioning that price. Bradywine does not list the price on their launch car. It has similar but not the exact same options as the Newport car.

I wouldn't bet against that. I'd say the last time a Porsche was in such demand was the 996 Turbo. I remember many dealers getting over sticker. I can't wait for the 997 Turbo and hopefully a Turbo Cab. I'm putting down a deposit for the Turbo Cab when I pick up my 997 S cab.
One thing about these 997 S launch cars- I'm very glad to see them well equiped and over $100k. When I spec'd mine out I had no idea where the launch cars would be price wise and was a little hesitant to build a $104k car. I'm glad they didn't come in low to mid $90's.
The only thing I wanted and couldn't get was the sport exhaust. When I built the car my dealer said it wasn't available yet.
This 997 message board is great therapy. I've already driven my wife nuts about the car.
