    Re: White sport cars

    Hey William...congratulations on your rs!!!!!!!!

    Your car is my favourite!!!!!!!!....

Could you post some more pictures, including also from the interior!!! .LOVE IT!!!!...
btw:Do you have any videos taken with the rs????..

    Re: White sport cars

william, long time no read -- glad that you're back at rennteam! (or maybe i just missed you?)

excellent pictures -- the RS is such a great machine!
    thanks for posting!!

    Re: White sport cars

Hey zzboba! Long time... Yes, the RS is a great machine. The chassis is so stiff that I can lift the front wheel in the off camber downhill corners. I can imagine what it would be like in the track. The handling is perfect with just alittle understeer. I actually like to drive with "cold" tires.... easier to slide

I am looking for closer ratio gearing or final drive for street/track. You have any idea where I should go about looking for those parts? Did you do any aligment adjustment to your RS?

    Re: White sport cars

    Thanks alex... one more picture

    Re: White sport cars

    Hi William,
Wekcome back, Kong Hei Fat Choi Tailow!!! A bit late, sorry.
Great cars thanks for the pic!
Autocar praises the NSX-R as a amazing car and said it would eat alive a 997S, would you agree?
How do you compare your GT3 RS to your 996 Turbo?
    Take care!
    Fanch.

    Re: White sport cars

White is 100% perfect on GT3. Have a look at my GT3 CS!

Happy new year to you too!

I personally love the RS much more than the Turbo. I remember I used do a lot of modification on my Turbo just to make it handle the way I wanted. But the RS in stock form is already the car I wanted.

The suspension isn't as harsh as you would think. The chassis is very stiff but the ride quality is actually better than my Turbo with H&R suspension upgrade. I haven't yet play around with the suspension setting on my RS. The stock aligment in my opinion is already aggressive enough for street use. The car actually get alittle nervous on uneven surface road.

I am really impress with transmission and clutch of the RS, it give you so much feedback everytime you engage a gear.

I will bring my RS to the track in April, so will tell you alittle more then

    Re: White sport cars

William, your car is my goal in life it is so beautiful... Could you please post some wp sized pics of your car without the NSX?
    Thanks a lot in advance!

I do too. Good background. It compliments the cars.

    Re: White sport cars

    Looks great mate!

I have always been a huge fan of white cars, the colour really allows you to see the lines.

Do you happen to have the first pic in a resolution high enough to use as a wallpaper?

    Cheers

    Re: White sport cars

    William,

congrats on your car! You obviously skipped the PCCB system, didn't you?

There is a user (KF) in the German forum that did the conversion of the gearbox this winter, I haven't heard the final result yet.

    Greetings!

    Re: White sport cars

More pics of these cars !!!!

    Re: White sport cars

Isn't it great to have a photographer friend.

    One more picture

    Re: White sport cars

Yes I didn't get the PCCB as I heard terrible feedbacks of people who used it in the track.

Thanks for the information. There are quite a few RSs have done the Convertion over here. I have heard that changing the final drive is a good way to start first.

    High res pictures

    996gt3, Joost

If you want the original size image, give me your email, I will send you some RS's pictures.

You should ask Wan888 for his NSX's pictures

    Re: White sport cars

Never was a fan of the RS on pics, OTT IMO.
But after having spent the weekend with one, I am totally in love!
So beautiful, which brings me to my point, the best way to chose a colour is really not on pics, you have to see it for yourself.

yes. that is really true for the GT3 RS -- in reality it has such a great presence no picture can reproduce.

but this is often the case, especially with low sport models. the stradale is the same: on pictures it looked to me nearly like an ordinary modena, but looking at in reality, is seems like a different car. so fragile, yet so aggressive and elegant at the same time.

You didn't heard the final result?

The car works even better! It's incredible how this modification has changed the whole car. From 0-200 kph the car is much faster than before. Don't be affraid of the costs. The result is a better car!

    Re: High res pictures

    William, you have a pm!
    Thanks a lot in advance!

    KF,

Can you give me more detail about your gearbox conversion.

What are the ratio you are using right now?
where did you get the parts?
    Is it Porsche factory parts?

    Thanks

    Re: KF,

I tell you the ratio tomorrow.

These are all original porsche parts. Some are from porsche motorsport and some are standard parts.

More specs i will give you tomorrow, too.

    Re: Gearbox modification facts

    The ratio is 8:32.
They modified the gearbox (oil-cooler), we have steel syncronisation rings, "1-Massenschwungrad", short "Antriebskegelrad" (ordered by porsche motorsport),
they installed the tequipment short shifter.

More modification are GT2-Steel-Break, Phoenix-Sport-Cats and a few things more.

If you want, i can send you a detailed list of the parts.

    Re: Gearbox modification facts

Besides the flywheel/clutch is there anything else different with the GT3RS transmission, from the regular GT3's?

    Re: Gearbox modification facts

think the geometry is totally different too
