Yeeeeaaaahhhh Haaaaa

Sorry for the stupid title, but today I became a member of the "Ive got a Porsche" club!!!!! Happy days!

After 6 months of torturous waiting my baby was finally available for pickup today! 2pm GMT I took delivery of the finest car I have ever driven, owned etc etc!!!!

For the past 6 hours or so Ive had the pleasure of piloting my baby around some of outer Londons better roads!. Unfortunatly we have had some crappy weather here in London today, so I was not able to have the top down and more importantly was not able to fuly gun her through the corners. However I was able to revel in the creamy power delivery (up to 5k of course) and the fantastic noise coming from over my left shoulder!!!

What a car. I actually had taken a number of pics today in the showroom, but typicaly my dig camera has screwed up and they have all come out blurred.. great!

Tomorrow I'll take a few more pics and upload them, if I can tear myself away from the steering wheel that is!!!!!

For all those still waiting for theirs... hold out brothers its well worth it!

Once i get a chance to play with some better weather conditions I'll post another update!

Thanks RichJ !! I really hope that the weather clears up tomorrow, so you can enjoy your Baby even more !! Reading these makes the waiting less painfull !! Waiting for tomorrow pics

Congratulations! Enjoy! Now you and Rich C have got your cars. (Is 2 x Rich's = Rich squared)? 1400hrs Zulu Thursday will be my turn. I am reverting to 10 year old 2 days before Christmas mode. Much to my wife's horror as she knows how I behave when I get like this. Could be very embarrasing for her at Porsche Centre Bournemouth on Thursday.

I picked mine up from the very same spot (exactly) at 8am this morning. Mine is now white with road film

and am looking forward to washing on a doy off tomorrow!!!

Hey newbox, make sure you chuck some pics up after youve cleaned her!!!

To be honest, I thought I'd be stressed about gettnig her dirty etc... BUT have to say there is something cool about having a brand spanking new motor, not even a day old, covered in sh#t!!!!!!!

Gotta put some elbow grease in tomorrow though!!!!

Dont worry about it buddy! My GF was with me today and I was like a kid in a sweet shop waiting for them to bring it out!!!! I must have looked really pathetic but I dont care, I had a great time!!!!!!!

Wow thats one beautiful car. The new Boxster headlights look so much better than the 986.

Had a great drive in this morning - was deliberately letting trucks pull out in front of me to create a gap in the traffic, then blasted past them just to listen to the noise - can't think why I spent the money on the Bose now - the engine just sounds sooooo good - a lot better than my '01S.

right - 30 mile drive to the supermarket now

Was doing exactly the same thing yesterday! Didnt really break the sound barrier or anything... just getting slowing down, knocking it into 2nd and flooring it up 4.5k... Cool!

Could do that all day!!! Dont need anything else, just up and down in 2nd gear and im happy!!! (yes Im a Child!)
