    Help needed

    Does anyone know of a good resource for early 70's 911's? I am looking for a car to restore and club race and could really use some recommendations on forums or websites to look at. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your response, I really appreciate it. However, from all of the views and only one response I guess I was not as clear as I should have been. I am looking for technical information on model years, transmissions, engines and suspension options of different early 1970 model 911's. While this board is great for current model year Porsches it doesn't offer the information I need for the older cars. When it comes to purchasing, I most likely will buy a car that is already sorted from a PCA member in the area who is looking to move to a different class. This car will not be a driver but a club car to race on the weekends and basically have fun. Ths problem is I have no idea where to look for information on which year would be my best choice from those who are racing them.

    If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

    Norman, sorry I cant help-cuz I'm not very much into older Porsches. I did however check your photo.net homepage. Man, you take some sweet pics.
    Funny how you quality varies IMO. Some are kinda blah and some are absolutely great and I love them. And that's my opinion as a professional ad guy.
    Only too bad you're a Schumi fan. Means we can't have any contact from now on, and that I regrettably will have to shoot you in the kneecaps if we should ever meet IRL

    Thanks for your reply Dr. Phil. I really appreciate your honesty with regards to my photos... That was my 1st GP and I was new not only to the camera but also to the lenses.... As far as the robot.. I mean Schumacher, I was always a Senna fan and then a Mika Hakkinen fan. However I do respect what Schumi has done with his career eventhough he has made the spectacle of F1 more boring than old men playing checkers he has done what I would never thought to see in my lifetime and that is break Fangio's record. But when I go to the races, as long as I am not in their pit, I am rooting against the red cars. Do I get to keep my kneecaps?

    With regards to my photos, as a pro, which photos do you like? I am always looking to improve and would be interested to hear what an expert liked and didn't like so I could evolve a bit.

    Every issue of Excellence magazine has a section on older Porsches which usually includes info on problems they are prone to, ie strengths/weaknesses and which model years are good buys.
