The microchip shortage is affecting all manufacturers, and causing significant delays, over here if you order a 992 (which is selling very well) you are in for a 12 month wait at least, and they are delivering cars with only one key leaving the second key pending for later or without the electric steering wheel adjustment working, just to reduce deliver delays to customers.

The Leipzig factory closes next Friday for 3 weeks, when they’ll be retooling for the Gen3. I suspect your car is mostly built but waiting on a few parts for completion.

Probably! The car will arrive by the end of October at the earliest instead of August.
I got an attractive discount for ordering the pre-facelift model.

Whoopsy:Atlantis:Getting back on topic, we’ve ordered the 14 way comfort seats for our Macan S as they were the ones fitted to the car we test drove. The dealer says that he thinks we’d prefer the 18 way sport seats but didn’t have a car fitted with them that we could try. From what I’ve read the 18 way seats can be a bit snug if you’re of larger frame, which we are not. And the leather on the large side bolsters is prone to scuffing/cracking. It would be good to hear from anyone with experience of the 18 ways.
Major difference between 14 way and 18 way is that the 14 way can be fitted with ventilated seats, 18 way can't.
In exchange, 18 way got more adjustments. But at 'standard' settings for adjustments, both seats are exactly as roomy. Or tight, depending on perspective. 18 ways added the extra thigh support adjustment. And yes, the 'wings' on the side bolsters are more extended on the 18 way.
For me I much prefer 18 way seats as they can be adjusted to be more 'fitted'. 14 way seats, even if I adjust all the settings to the tightest, it still feel too 'loose' for me, I am sliding around the seat all the time. 18 way I can find a position where I am completely enveloped but not confined. But the feel is very personal, on their body build. I ma 5'10" 170lbs. 33" inseam. Someone else with different dimensions will have different feelings.
Ooops. There was a slight mixed up. I meant to say the 14 way and not the 18 way can be had with massaging function. And the ventilated seat can only be had with the 18 way.
Porsche options, and their requirements, are getting a tad too complicated
