    Without tying the lift adaptor plate down to the lift arm, the whole car can flip backwards off the lift!!!!!!

    OK, that's it for now.

    PDI is supposed to be complete Monday afternoon. Depending on the weather, the tech is supposed to drive it for a 7-mile test ... meaning it has all 6 forward gears and the cruise control works!

    After that, .... I hope to heaven the weather is good enough to drive it home.

    congratulations! So you receive Frosty, the Boxster as an extra gift?

    Tell me, what's the story about attaching the car to the lift?? IT is a mid-engined car, can't they place the lift arms around the center of gravity?

    And what's so special about the wooden blocks?

    Well, it's more important to drive her so have fun!

    I only used the Boxster to illustrate the outside temp to those in tropical climates. It was STILL for sale after I left

    I edited the intro line somewhat to make it a smidgen more clear.

    none of the above, just a good precaution: non-yellow painted caliper option so that the yellow colored standard calipers do not clash with the paint-to-sample signal yellow

    That rear shot is gorgeous. I never liked yellows but signal looks great! very agressive. But I'm sure the car deserves part of the credit for that though

    Awesome looking paint scheme! Watch out when you go for your first ride as those tires in that climate will offer 0 grip.

    I doubt it, racerx. However, I've heard that on Monday morning, all Ohio State Patrol officers will be briefed on the situation and will receive this year old booklet from their watch commanders:

    An emergency Ohio state congress session has also been called next week to revise the 2005-2006 manual and those booklets will be distributed by the time the bus has finished its break-in period.

    But, I'm thinking of getting a black decal that says, "Stop. State Law." for the back. That way, those that think it's School-Bus yellow will have something to talk about.

    This is the 5th Porsche I have owned in Signal yellow. The first one was 1977 911 Carrera body equipped with a 1970 salvage title and lots of go-fast drive-train and suspension bits. Chuck Stoddard, a dealer near Cleveland, had built it for a real estate developer who needed to sell it quickly in the early '80s. I bought it after having seen it for about 15 minutes

    The mechanics at Stoddard referred to this ex-project car as "the School Bus".

    As soon as the InterCity crew was about to open the trailer to start unloading my CGT, one of them was heard to say that the color looked like School Bus yellow to them!

    BTW, I just learned the ceramics on our cars are the first generation. Do you know if we have better cooling or something to keep from having some of the more common PCCB complaints?
