    What a bummer... my 997S won't be here until March..

    Sorry, but I've got to whine. My car was completed on January 26th. For the last two weeks I've been patiently waiting for the ON VESSEL status. My dealer calls me this morning with the old "good new, bad news" intro. The car has finally arrived at the importer in Germany. My car missed the last boat by one week, and the next boat doesn't sail until the 15th, arriving in Brunswick on 2/28, which gets me my car the first week of March. So, it will have taken three friggin weeks to get from the factory to being on the water. I know, quit whining. It's just been a long long wait, I placed my deposit back in September, and I wanted to enjoy the car during the winter and early spring months before it becomes unbearably hot and sticky here.

    March still gives you plenty of time.Besides, it will be yours for a while.Think of all the fun you are GOING TO HAVE. The glass is half full....not half empty

    Thats a bummer, more time to schedule the window tint !!!

    My car was built the same time as yours, Due in port 13 March! Dealer says I should get it 16 March. Spending my time planning the first trip... I've taken days off from 16 to 20 March. "Only" one month to go on Sunday!! The weather should be slightly cooler here by then, currently 27c

    Now that's funny!!!!

    Oh well, I've come to grips with it. At least now I KNOW, I've got a definitive schedule, which beats the hell out of hoping and guessing and waiting. But my trusty Lightning pickup is anxious to get back to its cush-cush life of occasionally hauling my dirt bike to the track, Saturday night drag racing (it loves picking on unsuspecting Corvettes), and as-needed trips to Home Depot. Every household needs a truck, so it may as well be a modded mid-twelve second truck!! :lol:
