    Has anyone tried the 987(S) with the tiptronic S.

    I'm looking for some feedback and its pros and cons.

    it's lazy and ..fuel efficient in D. It upshifts to 5th in no time at redicoulous low speeds revving at low rpm, not exactly what you're looking for in a boxter. In M it's OK if at all you use it all the time.

    I wish I could find pros, but I cant. especially knowing that DSG will come out in a few months and the resale price of your car will automatically take a hit having tiptronic.

    Tiptronic is great for a sedan etc, but not for a Boxster.

    If you absolutely must have tiptronic, then get the sport chrono option. At least you will get a more "sporty" response from the tip.

    Where have you heard about DSG coming to the Boxster.

    Once introduced, it would make sense Porsche adds DSG to the options list, they make a killing on options, better margins than the cars! Don't you think?
