Winter Thaw!

We had a very warm weekend (9 Degrees C. on Sunday) and I couldn't resist any longer - I have been driving a Chevy Avalanch all winter with only brief encounters with our Cayenne S on weekends. I managed to get the 997 S out of the driveway, and the roads are all clear and fairly dry. I had such an blast! I had forgotten how wonderful my first Porsche is. While I envy those in warmer climates that have been enjoying their Porsches all winter, putting it away for the winter makes one appreciate the car when it comes back out in the spring. However, I think I will get snows for next fall!

Isn't the end of hibernation wonderful? My Boxster with arctic alpins and hardtop is fun in the snow but simply does not stir the senses like the 997S when the snow melts.

end of hibernation is absolutely divine.

i took out all my cars and some of my families other cars the other day

it was 2 month haitus in between without driving at ALL.

wonderful

also finished breaking in the GT3 in the last few days. its going to be a great summer, with many surprises in store!

Nice looking Carrera S Mark! (The winter beater isn't too bad either) I have bad news - rained heavily yesterday and last night the temp went down to -10 C. I have a 500 meter driveway and can't get my car out of the garage. Looking at your clean driveway I am jealous.

My driveway is probably 150 to 200 meters long and is a steep slope upward. I busted my a$$ to keep it clean over the past few weeks so I could get the Boxster in and out. If the snow sits on the driveway and get packed down by tires then it turns to ice and even the Boxster with snow tires cannot make it up. Hopefully most of the snow has fallen already for this season.
