    997S Question - Does anyone have erratic starting.

    My Porsche never seems to start the same way. Sometimes when turning the car on, it fires right up. Other times it may take up to 10 seconds of cranking. Furthermore, regardless of the start up time, the RPM's may cough on at 600, or roar in at 2500. It's kind of embarrassing when the Porsche cranks away and then farts on. And, it's a wake up call for the neighbors, at 5 AM when it roars.

    Is this starting issue common, or could it be a problem.

    No, but that's a problem you need to take to the dealer for sure.

    My 997S starts the same way every time. No problems here.

    Maybe there is a problem with your replacement engine.

    It sounds like an adjustment issue. Get it fixed. Dont think it's anything major

    Mine starts just fine. Does have a distinct (and great) sound as it settles down for about 10 seconds or so.
